Design Verification

When comparing quotes from different suppliers, it is important to verify that the offered product fulfills the technical requirements. For rolling element bearings, this is typically done by calculating the load ratings according to the relevant standards. For gearboxes, the process is significantly more complicated.

The design of the gearing, the shafts, the bearings, the shaft-hub connections, and the housing, among others, must be checked and verified. We perform these calculations on a regular basis according to the relevant standards using both analytic and numerical techniques. The latter category includes finite-element-method (FEM) calculations and the simulation of entire gearboxes using the FVA Workbench. Please find more details under calculations.
